Explanation:

The urinary system helps remove waste from the body via urine, and includes the kidneys, bladder, ureter and urethra. Kidney's especially are important, as they remove from the blood waste and water which eventually passes through the ureter, bladder and urethra as urine. Part of the waste removed by the kidney's is excess glucose. If there happens to be an overload of glucose, there are numerous negative effects on the urinary system for short-term and long-term.

Short term- High glucose levels promotes rapid bacterial growth, which can lead to thrush and/or urinary tract infections. The latter can be quite serious and even life-threatening, especially if it develops in the kidneys.

Long term- High glucose levels can cause difficulty in urinating, but more seriously urinary incontinence, which is the loss of the ability to control when you pass urine.
