Start by expanding the brackets

#-31+4x>=-5x+12x-16#

Bring all the x's to one side and numbers to the other

#5x+4x-12x>=31-16#

Simplify

#-3x>=15#

Divide through by -3. As this is a negative the inequality sign needs to be flipped

#x<=15/-3#

#x<=-5#
