To solve you need to get all the x's on to one side and numbers on the other.

Start by subtracting 4x from both sides.

#10x-4x+5=4x-4x+19#
#6x+5=19#

Now you would subtract 5 from both sides.

#6x+5-5=19-5#
#6x=14#

To get x on its own we divide both side by 6.

#(6x)/6=14/6#
#x=7/3#

We have found the value of x and therefore solved the equation.
