There are many numbers that are not common multiples of 4 and 9.
Explanation:
Multiples of 4: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, etc
Multiples of 9: 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81, etc.
You can see that a common multiple of 4 and 9 would be 36, but everything else in the list above would not be considered a common multiple.
I would assume that you have a list of numbers to choose from, so you can work this out accordingly. Alternatively, if you had a list of numbers, then you can simply test whether or not they are divisible by 4 and/or 9.
