Nucleic acids are made up of nucleotides(monomers).

Explanation:

A nucleotide consists of three components:

  • A five-carbon sugar
    As there are two kinds of nucleic acids. So, DNA contain deoxyribose sugar while RNA contain simple ribose sugar.
  • Phosphate group
  • Nitrogenous bases
