Pituitary gland also known as hypophysis cerebri is a pea-sized organ found at the base of the brain.

Explanation:

It's also known as the 'master gland' as its anterior lobe produces primary tropic hormones which control the secretions of many other endocrine glands.
It is held below the hypothalamus by means of short stalk (made of neural tissue) called infundibulum. It contain three lobes i.e anterior lobe, posterior lobe and median or intrmediate lobe.
