It is secreted by the zymogen cells of mucosa(inner layer of stomach) in the stomach.

Explanation:

Pepsinogen is an inactive form of pepsin. But it is activated to pepsin when comes in contact with acidic medium. So, after its secretion the gastric acids convert it to the enzyme Pepsin. So, that pepsin can work on proteins to hydrolyze them.
