Explanation:
They impacted the U.S. in a few ways. The surge in population created opportunities but also a few problems. The opportunities was that new industries were able to rise and and new inventions and ideas were able to come to light to make life better for the American public. Also since more people were willing to work, there was a economic benefit from that era. It can be bad also because since there were so many people looking for work, good-paying jobs were becoming harder to acquire. The biggest problem facing America now is that a lot of those baby boomers are beginning to retire and whether or not programs like Social Security will have enough resources to accommodate all of these new retirees.
