Yes, but not by humans. Also, asteroid mining is not possible at the moment, but it will be in the future.

Explanation:

Humans would not make efficient asteroid miners due to the immense amount of dangers posed to them by space, such as radiation. Even the use of spacesuits would require external oxygen sources to refill the spacesuit's oxygen tank, so this would be highly inefficient. On top of that, humans also require rest, and can't mine all of the time. Robots would be capable of mining asteroids in space for much lower costs than humans, and could also mine faster.
