Solve like a normal linear equation.

#x=3#

Explanation:

First we need to get all the variables #x# on one side and all the constants on the other side.

In this case, we simply subtract 2.5.

#therefore 2.5x = 7.5#

Now we just #div# by 2.5 to isolate #x#

#therefore x =3#

For easier calculations, lets convert all the terms into fractions with same denominator:)

#(5x)/2+ 5/2 =20/2#

#5x+ 5 =20#

#5x = 20 - 5#

#5x = 15#

#x = 3#

Verification:-

#2.5(3)+2.5#

#=7.5 + 2.5#

#=10#

#=#Right Hand Side

Hence Verified !
