Discrete

Explanation:

A continuous random variable can take all values in an interval, while discrete variable can only take countable values.

The variable "cost" is always rounded to 2 decimal places, and that's why it cannot take all possible values in an interval, so this technically should be discrete. But if you measure it accurately it should be treated as continuous.
