There are various reasons for developing cancer but there are 3 main levels cause cancer: DNA level Damage, RNA level damage and protein level damage.

Explanation:

At DNA level: wrong DNA repair, wrong replication, mutations in DNA ploymerases etc.
At RNA level: wrong transcription, wrong posttrancriptional modification, wrong RNA editing and alternative splicing.etc.
At protein level: wrong translation causes nonsense mutation, misense mutation and frameshift mutation, protein misfolding, wrong protein traficking, mutations in mRNA,rRNA and tRNAs. These uncertain changes definitely promote cancer.
