The Union won the Civil War.

Explanation:

The Battle of Appomattox Court House was the last battle of the Civil War. On April 9, 1865, Confederate general Robert E. Lee surrendered to the Union. The Union decided that the Confederate army would have to surrender their guns to the Union, but could keep their horses, and would not be tried for treason. After this battle, the United States of America would stay that way.
