2.5 cm of hair growth is to 2 months as 22.5 cm of hair growth is to x months.

So, basically what you do is set the proportions and cross multiply...

#2.5(x)=22.5(2)#

If you multiply it out, it should become...

#2.5x=45#

Now, divide both sides by #2.5# in order to isolate the #x#...
and that should give you...

#x=18#

Therefore, it takes 18 months to grow out 22.5 cm of hair.
