Prime numbers are those numbers which have only two factors which are #1# and the number itself.

Explanation:

1) Prime numbers are most important in number theory .

2) There is no general formula for Prime numbers till now, so a lot of research is going on the prime numbers.

3) Every number can be represented in a Unique way of the
Product of its Prime factors.

4) Mathematicians like Fermat gave some formula like

#[2^(2^n)+1]# is always a Prime number where 'n' is whole number
