Substances of photosynthesis are carbon dioxide water molecule and photon energy.

Explanation:

Photosynthesis is the process of building biomolecules from non biomolecules. It builds glucose from carbon dioxide and water with photon as source of energy. Various enzymes take part in the process. It is probably most ancient reactions when life originated on this planet. It's evolutionary steps are still unknown.

Substances required for photosynthesis are : solar energy, carbon dioxide and water.

Explanation:

Photosynthesis occurs in green parts of the plant, mainly leaves. It occurs in 2 steps: Light reaction and Dark reaction.

Light Reaction : The cells of chlorenchymatous tissue in leaves have chloroplasts containing green pigment chlorophyll. Chlorophyll entraps light. The solar energy ( photons ) brings about photolysis of water, breaking it into H ions and -OH ions. The electrons released during photololysis of water pass through a series of electron carriers, loosing energy that is stored in the form of energy rich ATP molecules. Besides this oxygen is released and #NADPH2# (reducing power) molecules are produced. All these steps occur in granum part of chloroplast .

Dark Reaction: Carbon dioxide is used in dark reaction of photosynthesis. It occurs in various steps needing different enzymes and the end products of light reaction, i.e. ATP and #NADPH2#.

Dark reaction simply involves reduction of carbon dioxide to glucose occurring in a number of steps, needing different enzymes.
