What are three conditions required by the sun to produce enormous energy?

1 Answer

I try to explicit 3 big conditions; not want to be a rigorous exhaustive answer, but a seed of considerations...

  • A sufficient hydrogen quantity to maintain the right gravitational collapse density and pressure and then maintain the internal nuclear fusions

  • A sufficient internal counter-pressure, response of nuclear reactions (toward external), to stop the gravitational collapse at right (temporary) actual equilibrium

  • A sufficient time without perturbation, to burn all the potential fuel
