What is expected to be more common in male offspring than female?

Among other things, recessive sex-linked traits will generally be more common in male than female offspring. This is because females have two X-chromosomes, whereas males only have one X-chromosome. Males can't be heterozygotes for these traits like females can, so if their X-chromosome is recessive, they necessarily express the trait.

This isn't necessarily a good thing, though. Hemophilia and color-blindness are two salient examples of pathologies caused by the preceding phenomenon.
