Reflecting across the y axis will change the sign of the x coordinate.
Translating 8 units left means you then subtract 8 from the x coordinate

(-3,1)=>(3,1)=>(-5,1)

(-14,-4)=>(14,-4)=>(6,-4)

(-8,-8)=>(8,-8)=>(0,-8)

(-9,-4)=>(9,-4)=>(1,-4)
