If the coefficient of kinetic friction between a 35-kg crate and the floor is 0.30, what horizontal force is required to move the crate at a steady speed across the floor? What horizontal force is required if #mu_k# is zero?

The crate will move with constant speed when applied force is equals to Kinetic frictional force.

And here it is #mu_k ×N=mu_k ×mg=0.3×35×9.8=102.9N#

In abscence of frictional force any force will cause its motion but in that case it will be moving with constant acceleration!
