Physics does allow for it.

Explanation:

There is, however, no definitive answer as to how it would happen. One suggestion is a warping of the space-time continuum would accomplish time travel. For example, take a flat piece of paper as a representation of the space-time continuum. Now bend the paper so two of the ends come closer. The trick is jumping from one point at one end to the now closer point on the other end. No one even has a theory as to how that would happen.

But! Travel is time by men and women has already happened, even if only in a minute way. Measurements of astronauts who have spend weeks and months in space have shown they have aged slightly slower than had they remained on earth.
