Bangladesh is considered to be in the top 10 countries in the world at risk from climate change.
Explanation:
Two key factors related to this country's risk are rising sea levels will impact rice and other food production. However, some efforts are being made to convert rice paddies to shrimp farms which is an example of adaptation. The other factor is that Bangladesh does not have a high capacity to deal with climate impacts, like rising sea level, so remains vulnerable.
With respect to the current risk now, this is a case of slowly rising risk that will get worse over time. It also depends on where you are in the country - if you are in Dhaka, your risk right now is probably less than if you are a rice farmer in the Bay of Bengal.
