From my understanding (I wasn't there at the time) this isn't a simple question and may hinge on what is meant by "conquered".

Explanation:

Somewhere between 320-325 AD Aksum became Christian where it had formerly been Judaic and polytheistic. It would probably be inaccurate to refer to this conversion as the result of conquest.

With the rise of Islam, Aksum's power was greatly reduced; however it remained a Christian state. It is interesting to note that because Aksum had provided shelter to Mohammed's followers in the early years of Islam, Aksum was allowed to remain unconquered.

Around 960 AD Aksum was conquered, although there is some debate as to whether it was by a Judaic queen or a polytheistic queen from somewhere further south. This further weakened Aksum as a Christian state; however, even today it is considered to be the center of the Ethiopian Christian Orthodox Church.
