The English Bill of Rights and Common Sense.


With the exception of the Virginia Declaration of Rights, all of the others came after the Declaration of Independence.

Virginia Declaration of Rights: A Virginian version of the Bill of Rights made in the early days of the colony.

Treaty of Paris: Ended the Revolutionary War.

Common Sense: A pamphlet by Thomas Paine outlining why revolting was in the colonists' best interest.

Articles of Confederation: The precursor to the Constitution.

English Bill of Rights: Listed the rights that the colonists were supposed to have as British citizens.
