Explanation:

The chemical in gas a free to move. The insecticide will diffuse almost immediately. Liquids can flow allowing the insecticide to move outside the desired radius of application. Solid diffuse much more slowly that either liquids or gasses so the pesticide will have a longer effective life span. Also the solid will go down where it is desired. There will be no overspray or movement away from the point of application as happens so easily with a liquid.
