Rommel's offensive in North Africa began in January of 1942 and ended in front of El Alamein in July.

At Kasserine Pass in North Africa during February 1943 a tactical defeat of the Americans. The Battle of Bautzen in April 1945 could be seen as a tactical victory as well. Polish and Soviet losses were very large compared to the gains. The Allied Market Garden (1944) offensive also could be considered a German Victory. These last were defensive victories and so only delayed the inevitable defeat.
