A simple method for finding hybridisation is just count the no. Of sigma bondsfor example in case of ccl4 the no. Of sigma bond is 4 so the hybridisation will be sp3. Hope u understand the concept.

This trick can not work in lone pair containing atoms or the compound containing ions.
