Here the easiest way to solve is by using substitution method as in second equation #x=y+2#, #x# is clearly expressed in terms of #y#.

Substituting value of #x=y+2# in the equation #3x-4y=-5#, we get

#3(y+2)-4y=-5#

or #3y+6-4y=-5#

or #-y=-5-6=-11#

i.e. #y=11#

and hence #x=12+2=13#

Solution is #x=13# and #y=11#
