General Douglas MacArthur lived between 1880 and 1964

Douglas MacArthur was born in Arkansas in 1880. He graduated from US Military Academy in 1903. He participated in World War I and World War II. He was the commander of the Allied Forces in the Pacific during World War II.

In April 1951, he was relieved from commandership of newly established UN forces by President Truman.

He died at the age of 84. He married twice.
