What were some early campaigns in the Revolutionary War?

The Boston Campaign (Patriot Victory) and The Invasion of Canada (British Victory) were Early parts of the Revolutionary War.


The start of the War in Massachusetts April 1775 and the effort to occupy Canada was the major fighting of the early part of the War. The British evacuation of Boston in March 1776 and the successful defense of Quebec by the British in December 1775 were important Events. Col. Benedict Arnold was one of the leaders of the Quebec Campaign before he switched sides.

The First Continental Congress tried to persuade French Canadians to join the Revolution in October 1774 with posters that promised both Carrot and Stick. The French eventually stayed with the British.
