$x = \frac{3500}{45}$

$x = 77.78 \text{mins per day}$

I.e the exercise will burn $1$ pound of fat per day after $77.78$ mins of the exercise..

In $30 \mathrm{da} y s$ for $1$ pound of fat to be burnt, the exercise should be done for;

$\frac{77.78}{30} \text{min"s = 2.59 "mins}$
