The United States gained the most at the end of the war. As to who won the fighting of the war. Bragging rights go to many.

Explanation:

Pretty much everybody else was in ruins. The Soviets had lost 20 million people. Germany and Japan were utterly destroyed. England was heavily damaged and broke. China was in chaos. The United States was relatively undamaged and soon would the the Economic powerhouse of the world. They had sole use of the most powerful weapon in the world. A weapon that affect future warfare drastically.
They had a technology advantage over many countries because of the technology sharing during the war and the capture of Scientists and materials at the end of the war.

They were a superpower and no one except the Soviets could or wanted to compete with them and the Soviets were heavily damaged. Everyone owed them something because of the war.

The Allies fighting success was a "team" success. Individuals like my father felt that they had contributed and "won" the War. They were very proud of their success. In terms of countries a great deal of the fighting was by the Russians and this is not always acknowledged by the West.
