Thermophilic DNA polymerase, an enzyme required for replication of DNA in living cell, is heat stable; thus naturally present in bacteria of extreme habitat, i.e. living in hot spring.

Enzymes and cellular membranes of such thermophilic (=heat loving) bacteria can withstand intense heat. Some of these are anaerobic sulfur bacteria and are also acidophile (=lives in acidic environment).

Thermophiles generally belong to domain Archaea, though a commonly described species, Thermus aquaticus belongs to domain Bacteria.
