Phenotype distribution is the distribution of the organisms according to the physical appearances.


The "phenotype" is referred to as the distribution of the offspring by the traits that we observe. They are the traits that are related t the appearance.

This can be better displayed by Mendel's monohybrid cross,
in the first filial generation, the pea plants are all hybrid tall..

But when we see the second generation,i.e.

The recessive trait also gets expressed. Thus the phenotype ratio becomes:- 3:1
