Explanation:
In just about any major city anywhere in the world you will always find places to eat from a variety of different cultures. Similarly, clothing styles will often reflect either an individual's own culture or there admiration for a different one.
Many 'slang' expressions in use come about from a migration from a particular cultural origin into "fringe" groups of society, and then often into mainstream usage.
