Explanation:

TLDR: If volume is constant, temperature and pressure are directly proportional.

#(PV)/T = (PV)/T#

Let's assume pressure is 4, volume is 1, and temperature is 12. Keep in mind that while working with gases, these must be absolute values (Except volume, that doesn't change.)

#(4 * 1)/(12) = (x * 1)/3#

#(4)/(12) = (x)/3#

Simplify the fractions....

#(1)/3 = x/3#

#x# is one, or 1/4 what it was before.
