The higher the melting point, the GREATER the degree of interparticle interaction........


I specified #"interparticle"# rather than #"intermolecular"# because many solids (ions and metals and network solids) are non-molecular, and thus have intrinsically high melting and boiling points (if these can be meaningfully measured).

High melting points generally signifies some degree of interparticle interaction, and such species can be ionic salts or network covalent solids.
