Generally, positive entropy values are thermodynamically favorable.

Hence, the reaction will usually seek to maximize disorder (e.g. disorder) by shifting to the thermodynamically favorable direction at most temperatures.

However, assuming we have a negative entropy,

#DeltaG = DeltaH^0 - TDeltaS^0#

Thus, if the free energy is negative, by way of low temperatures or exothermic tendencies, the reaction may be spontaneous and proceed forward.
