This theory still holds true in the face of globalization with culture expanding in more directions and at a faster rate as a result of increased communication and global capacity.

Explanation:

Culture is the way a certain group of people, ranging from a family to a region to a country, lives and acts in their daily lives. Their culture is their behaviour pattern that defines their lifestyle and how they interact with each other and with others from outside.

As a result of these interactions among people within close proximity of each other the culture can move forward and gain power or intellect or financially as a result of the dealings between themselves and others.

With the advent of increased globalization, communication has increased dramatically between cultures and within them as well, resulting in a faster rise in negotiations and community. Cultures are studied in the field of Ethnology and some researchers are able to record the life-styles of members of a society directly as ethnography.

Globalization has also spread its problems, such as terrorism and economic upheaval, but overall progress in most cultures has been positive.
