There are three main tenses, that I know

Past tense, present tense, future tense
past tense is used to describe an action that has been done in the past, present tense is used to describe an action that is happening right now, and future tense is used to describe an action that will happen in the future.

Example of past tense, I went, I ate, I walked etc.
Example of present tense, I do my homework, I live in Italy, etc.
Example of future tense, I will do, I will go tomorrow, I'm going to go, etc.
