Given that a rectangular room is 10 feet high, 12 feet wide and 20 feet long.

The length of each diagonal will be
#d=sqrt("length"^2+"width"^2+"height"^2)#

#=>d=sqrt(20^2+12^2+10^2)=sqrt644# ft

If the angle at the point of intersection of the cables facing 20ft long wall be #theta # ,then

#costheta=((d/2)^2+(d/2)^2-"length"^2)/(2*(d/2)^2)#

#=>costheta=(322+322-20^2)/(2*3 22)=244/644=61/161#

#=>theta=cos^-1(61/161)=67.7^@#
