Generally the heat that causes the formation of igneous rocks destroys the organic material that makes up fossils.

Explanation:

There are cases where fossils footprints are found in igneous rock layers. The soft volcanic dust allowed footprints to be formed and then covered with another layer of dust preserving the footprints.
The volcanic molds of people and animals found in Pompii are other examples of igneous fossils.

These are the exceptions however. Generally however fossils that might be formed in igneous rocks are destroyed by the heat required to form the igneous rocks.
