The liver produces bile which is stored in the gallbladder and secreted through the bile duct into the duodenum. The bile emulsifies the fat that is about to be chemically digested in the duodenum. The pancreas is both an exocrine and endocrine gland. It secrets lipase, amylase and protease which digest the partially digested food coming from the stomach. And so through these two organs, food can be broken down and digested properly.
