My thought process here is that $y = - 2 x$ and $y = m x$ only intersect at the origin (unless m = -2 but that is redundant). For these three lines to be concurrent the third must also pass through the origin, the only way this can be achieved is to have

$x = 0$

ie

$k = - m$

This is the least and only value of k for which these lines are concurrent.
