Now as per question, (x - 10) = 8

$\Rightarrow x - 10 + 10 = 8 + 10$ [ adding 10 both sides]

$\Rightarrow x = 18$

Now as per question, $\frac{x - 10}{4} = 2$

$\Rightarrow x - 10 = 8$

$\Rightarrow x - 10 + 10 = 8 + 10$[ adding 10 both sides]

$\Rightarrow x = 18$
