The organ system consisitng of skeletal, cardiac and smooth muscles.

Explanation:

The main purpose of the muscular system is to allow movement, although it also helps in blood circulation. It combines with the skeletal system to create the musculoskeltal system, which controls movement in the body. Muscles in the body can be seperated into three groups:

Skeletal - These muscles are the most numerous, and are able to be controlled. When a command is sent thorugh the nervous system for these muscles to move, the cells and fibres in the muscles contract and relax to perform the command. There are approximately 639 skeletal muscles in each humans body.

Cardiac - These muscles are related exculsively to the heart, and are classified differently from skeletal muscles because because a) The muscle fibers are laterally connected to each other, and b) Their muscle movement is involuntary.

Smooth - These muscles are ones that aren't cardiac muscles, but are involuntary. Interesting fact: ( Functions such as heart beat and lungs (which are capable of being willingly controlled, be it to a limited extent) are involuntary muscles but are not smooth muscles .)
