There may be an infinite number of ways to divide an item, but when all the parts are then re-assembled, the result will be the whole item.

If the pizza is cut into four, six, or eight pieces, they will still add up to one pie. Each slice will be correspondingly smaller as more divisions are made. Dividing the pizza into equal slices will become challenging for some numbers, such as #7 or 9# compared to #4 or 8#.
