Parsec (pc) is a unit of length which is used to measure large distances between astronomical objects located outside our Solar System.
A parsec was defined as the distance at which one astronomical unit subtends an angle of one arcsecond. And it has been redefined in 2015 as equal to #648000/pi# astronomical units.
