I think CIP is working fine.

Explanation:

A and C are enantiomers because all configurations have been inverted: A is #S,R,R# and C is #R,S,S#.

If they were epimers, only one configuration would change, e.g. #S,R,R# to #R,R,R# or #S,R,R# to #S,S,R# or #S,R,R# to #S,R,S#.

The same comments apply to B and D.

The names are all different.

  • A is #S,R,R#
  • B is #R,S,R#
  • C is #R,S,S#
  • D is #S,R,S#

The Cahn-Ingold-Prelog system is working fine.
