See Definitions below.

Explanation:

Economic and social system in which all (or nearly all) property and resources are collectively owned by a classless society and not by individual citizens. Based on the 1848 publication 'Communist Manifesto' by two German political philosophers, Karl Marx (1818-1883) and his close associate Friedrich Engels (1820-1895), it envisaged common ownership of all land and capital and withering away of the coercive power of the state.

In such a society, social relations were to be regulated on the fairest of all principles: from each according to his ability, to each according to his needs. Differences between manual and intellectual labor and between rural and urban life were to disappear, opening up the way for unlimited development of human potential

A theory of government and economics

Explanation:

The theory of Communism is based on Marx's Communist Manifesto.
The theory of Communism was modified in Russia as Marx/Lenin to meet the need of industrial workers. while in China the theory was modified by Mao to meet the needs of rural farm workers.

A historical world view of progressive evolution of biology, cultures, and people underline the theory of communism. By a process of thesis, anti thesis, and synthesis government and cultures are proposed to progress as an unresistable force to create a utopian society.

The government under communism is all powerful. The government has the power to take all property and means of production, farms, factories, shipping, banks, and personal property. The means of production then belong to all the people as administrated by the government.

The theory is based on a belief that people are evolving and becoming kinder, less selfish and better able to work together. The idea is that by enforcing a truly equal society people will be able to progress to the point where government is no longer needed. The theory of communism is based on the idea that people are basically good in nature and only unjust governments and economic systems causes them to act in evil ways.

George Orwell a British communist visited Russia to see how the utopian society he believed in was working out. In his disappointment he wrote the classic book Animal Farm. It turns out people failed to evolve and the government becomes increasingly oppressive to enforce the " equal" sharing, or as Orwell observed in his book, All animals are equal but some are more equal than others.
